Redback Studios

Uncluttering your inbox accounts.

Hello %%First Name%%

Do you have multiple email accounts all coming to the same computer, such as sales@yourdomain.com.au / info@yourdomain.com.au / admin@yourdomain.com.au / services@yourdomain.com.au and so on?...

This can get very confusing and annoying and also can be slow as your email program checks each individual account.

Also if multiple accounts are being sent spam, you have to treat each spam email separately, even if it is the same spam email to the different accounts.

Also when staff leave, this is a great way to handle their email account after they are gone. Cont'd below.

Email Forwarding: A great Free email service that allows you to save time and hassles.

The simplest way to combine all these accounts is using ‘Forwarders’.

Decide the email account you wish to maintain as the Main account, such as info@...

Log into your Hosting Control Panel (www.yourdomain.com.au/cpanel for most sites but you may need to check with your hosting company).

Click on Email Accounts. Delete the email accounts that are not necessary to have as separate accounts.

Then go back to the main cpanel page and click on Forwarders

Click Add Forwarder to start adding. Put in the 'alias' email address and the actual email address you want to receive those emails.
(i.e.: sales@yourdomian.com.au forwarded to info@yourdomain.com.au.)

Add as many email addresses as you wish, one by one and forward them to xxx@yourdomain.com.au and then click Add Forwarder.

(Also remember you can do this 'as well' as have real email inboxes, allowing it to go to the right inbox and a copy automatically sent to another account.)

If you would lie to see a video demonstration on using Forwarders, you can check out our own Purpose Hosting Tutorial at http://tutorials.purposehosting.com.au/ and click on cPanel to see the video.

If you have any topics you would like me to address in these newsletters, or have further questions on this topic or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us on support@redbackstudios.com.au or Reply to this mailing.

Warm regards

Just Imagine!...

People come to your site because they are interested in your product/service, yet the opportunity to find out who is visiting your site is missed by focusing on just design, rather than marketing. Just think… if you had the contact details of those interested visitors from your site & made regular contact with them... what an impact that could have on sales?!

Testimonial

Redback Studios recently upgraded our Wine IP website; www.wineip.com.au and it has a very smart look and is simple and easy to navigate. The process for us as a business was easy and Laurence extremely helpful and understood what we were seeking; which reduced the costs in time and money. Redback also hosts our website and have been able to help us with technical problems that have arisen outside their responsibility. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Redback to design, develop and maintain your website presence.
